We are committed to providing programs specifically designed to increase student awareness of the academic and social support available to them at ODU. We work to help students become more actively engaged in the learning process and to provide opportunities for first- and second-year students to connect, collaborate, and grow with their peers.
Monarch Orientation is ODU's on-campus orientation program. The events include educational planning, course selection and registration, student and parent interaction, and an overview of resources and campus life.
Monarch Family Connection is the primary means of communication with family members. The electronic newsletter serves as a source of campus information relevant to families. This month publication provides content about campus resources, transition topics and tips, financial literacy and important dates.
University 100: Mane Course is a one-credit course designed to support first-year students through their transition to Old Dominion University.
ODU is committed to the academic excellence of all students and provides a variety of resources to support student success.
